Mineral wool is one of the most popular insulation materials. In addition to thermal insulation properties, it is also used as a sound insulation to reduce noise in rooms.
Wool is a breathable (vapor permeable) and extremely biologically resistant product, thanks to this it has a positive effect on the microclimate inside the house. Another advantage is the high fire resistance, it is non-flammable material. It has the highest fire resistance class A1, which is why it is often used in partitions as a fire separation element.

What to look for when buying wool?

Type : there are two types of wool on the market, rock wool and glass wool. The former is mainly produced from rock materials such as dolomite, basalt and gabbro as well as from recycled materials such as blast furnace slag or mineral briquettes. It is used in all places where increased loads acting on the insulation are expected. It can also be used to insulate light wet walls.
